RangerBoy I respect the **** out of your posts because you're very well informed, but this is just moronic.

I'd say, a generous estimate of 95% of fans of sports don't really give a crap about the business side of the game. They watch their team because they're passionate about it and want to see them win. Not everyone has the time you, or I, or many of the other well-informed posters on this board have to indulge our interest in the business side of the game. We're spoiled here on HF because there are many posters who are well informed which leads to intelligent conversations outside the realm of just the Rangers; but to put down the fans, and they are fans, who don't dive into the CBA like you or I do is just asinine.

So, if they are "morons" why not educate them if your Jim Cerny, a guy who is plugged in as plugged in gets, instead of putting them down and challenging their intelligence. It's a ridiculous concept for a writer to do.

To say they're morons is absolutely ridiculous.

Well said.

After seeing Callahan go down, I had a bad feeling it would be worse. But two weeks is a good thing.

Edit: And a response to RangerBoy's post. I am a diehard hockey fan. I watch every Ranger game, and will watch whatever game interests me the most on days Rangers don't play. I played hockey when I was younger and understand the game inside and out. I just do not post on our board a lot as everything turns into a **** show, this thread included.

With that said, I don't know a damn thing about the CBA.

By my estimate, he'll be back for the 2/17 game against the Caps. We face Tampa Bay twice, Boston and the Devils in that time frame. Things may get ugly, but I'm not worried.

Where are all the amateur doctors saying he was done? Or the guy that said this was career-threatening?

And all of you that were ready to throw in the towel--do us all a favor and don't come back.

Good news. Only 2 weeks is huge. I was getting worried about our special teams. Cally is so important on both of them. In the meantime, guys outside of the big 3 have to start scoring. Getting Kreider back and getting him scoring would be huge too.

Get well soon, Captain.

Never before has a subluxation been met with such enthusiasm.

(Glad he's not seriously hurt... saw the play and it looked pretty bad. Don't like to see that happen to guys just trying to play hard, even big rivals. BTW Talbot has been known to cause subluxations before. Shannahan should be contacted.)

So much of this. About 50 Mark Recchi's appeared in the thread yesterday.

This is the best news I've heard all day.

Yes, we could have stayed afloat, probably more than that even, without Cally. But having him in the lineup simply makes an enormous difference in practically every aspect of the game. Shift in, shift out, his impact cannot be overstated.

So this was basically a partial dislocation. Probably popped out and back in, but hurt like a SOB

Messes up your arm for a little bit too and makes it feel like your shoulder is going to pop out again.

Glad to hear it wasn't anything serious. I was really basing assumptions on time missed from what other posters were saying (season ending to career ending):sarcasm:

Now that we have a time frame, does Talbot have to sit out that length of time as well?
