Thanks for the feedback.

In a year or two, he could be a good addition on the Flyers 3rd line centered by either Sean Couturier or Scott Laughton. There are spots to be had in the Flyers top 9 after we move dead weight like R.J. Umberger and guys like Aube-Kubel and Oskar Lindblom should certainly have a shot at them (along with Phantoms prospects like Nick Cousins and Taylor Leier).

Amen. Wouldn't mind if Fazleev continues his path and becomes another solid NHL player.

Aube-Kubel is probably the one with the highest upside.

Lol ok.

I like Aubé-Kubel's game. He's a great skater who plays a solid 2-way game. I think he flies under a lot of people's radar because he's not particularly amazing in any one area but really good in all areas of the game. He doesn't shy away from physical contact and uses his teammates well. He'll battle for pucks in dirty areas and is hard worker by giving a consistent effort...every time I've seen him play anyhow.

What I like most about him is that even if his offensive game doesn't necessarily translate to the pros, (it might, it might not) he still has a great shot at becoming a pretty good 3rd or 4th line player due to the kind of game he plays.

(Avs fan btw)

Thanks.

Yup, in a perfect world, he is a top 6 scoring winger. But knowing that he can still be effective on the bottom 6 is certainly a plus.

If this guy was drafted where he was by Detroit this website would be blowing them and touting him as yet another steal, but to each his own. Flyers got a good pick here.

He is putting up the numbers he should be. He was the 3rd forward drafted out of the q, and he is like 3rd or 4th in the q in scoring from his draft year. Nothing to get too excited about yet imo.

Yeah...behind Ehlers and Barbashev.

He's doing just fine. You can get a little excited.

He's already 11 points (64 points in 48 games) ahead from his totals last year (53 points in 65 games) with 13 games left to play. As mentioned above you can get a little excited.

The Q is the least high scoring league of the CHL FWIR also. I think he will be a good middle 6 two way winger, kind of like a Hagelin/Read player.

The Q and the OHL have been very similar over the last few years (since 2005-06 really) with the Q being higher one year and the O the next. Bpth hover in the 6.85-7.05 range year to year.

This year the Q is the higher scoring league... but by ~0.07 GPG.

The WHL is far lower scoring though.

NAK is a pretty stocky, sturdy guy. He hits a alot more than lighter, speedier guys like Hagelin or Read.

I haven't seen him much this year, but in the MemCup last year he really reminded me of Justin Williams at that age. No mind blowing speed, skill or size, but not afraid to go into tough areas, smarts to spare and always finds a way to end up with the puck - and creative in finding ways to do something with it. He was creating good scoring chances out of nothing when guys like Mantha couldn't get a sniff.

If he can grow a bit taller still and continue to get stronger and faster, he should end up being a good NHL player.

Has 73 points in 55 games.

Has gotten points in 29 of his last 31 games.

Yet no one talks about him.

A lot of prospects slip through the cracks on these boards. Sometimes it's good to have a prospect that comes out of nowhere and surprises people with his performance and numbers. Personally, I love it when a prospect from my favorite team does very well but gets little to no fanfare from fans of other teams on this board. It's very refreshing. As long as your fanbase knows what you've got, that's good enough :thumbu:

He's playing well, but what do you expect? He was a 2nd round pick with very little hype to his game in his draft year. I'm just glad that it looks like the Flyers may finally start producing some NHL talent again from outside the first round.

Aaaaaand this is still holding true.
