Goal number 40 (and 41) in game 44 tonight
Nick with a natural hat trick today. Added another goal later in the game.

I was watching it for Jiricek and I counted that same number, 6, from those two guys and was not super happy about it tbh, lolNow has 48 goals in 47 games. Also picked up an assist for a 5 point game giving him 81 points on the season - currently in 2nd place in OHL scoring trailing only Michael Misa who has 86 points.
Also - Vanacker scored 2 goals - giving Hawks draft picks 6 of the 9 goals Brantford scored.
He was a goalscorer last year too, with 29 goals (50 points) in 37 games, so this represents a nice progression. Better that than stagnation or regression.Don't want to be a downer here but I can personally never learn anything when a prospect puts up huge numbers on their last year of juniors. Doesn't really mean to much in showing their true future potential

Hawks have no reason to trade any prospects right now…let them all marinate over the next two seasons and see what they get. The only reasons to trade someone would be if there is a reasonable NHLer available to play top 3 with Bedard (but would have to be reasonably young to fit the timeline), or to move up considerably in the draft.Could see him being at 0.5ppg in the AHL next year but I don't expect it to be much higher. For comparison Firkus, who was the top CHL scorer last year has 23 points in 44 AHL games, and both have a similar physical frame. Good upside for a third round pick but not a bluechip guy. Wonder if Hawks float trading Lardis or Kantserov, then again Kantserov at 5'9 would probably make Lardis the more valuable prospect.
