His skating is through the roof better than anybody's in this vid. Hopefully the coaches start telling him to not try live off his strengths, but to work on his weaknesses. If he relies too much on his superior skating, he might have a rude awakeing against better, older opposition. Also time to learn to play defence. He is not paying much attention to other team's defencemen in the own zone(I know he is 14 alright).

He is special.

He thinks the game very well, his hands are very good (his goal shows it perfectly), he even plays PK (he made that last SH goal), so his game isn't just about skating. But yeah, his skating is special, if you wanna call someone "the next Makarov", it's him. He beats defenders in a similar manner, just because he skates so well. And he's about the same size.

That wasn't meant to say he is not good in other aspects of the game. His skating just stands out and he might be tempted to rely on it too much.

Seems like this kid is absolutely torching lower Russian leagues in a way that hasn't really ever been done. Anyone have any video on him?

Scored only 2+2 in 5-4 OT win over Vityaz (primary assist for the winner). 18+16 after 7 games. The next best of the tournament is his linemate Perevalov with 11+7. The next best from another team is Dolzhenkov (CSKA) with 8+6.

Another game, another 5 points (2+3). 25+19 after 9 games... What a point to play him for this age group, I wonder. Of course, he's the youngest player on his team and one of the youngest at the whole tournament, but still...
