First line with Kamenev & Kuzmenko in his senior debut. SKA is skating a young team.

I'm too lazy to look is it regular season or exhibition?

Weak goaltending but the goal highlights his great skating and vision.

I'm also wondering how the And Chibrikov - Svechkov - Khusnutdinov line looked.

The goalie expected a pass to that SKA player going to his net, Michkov shot instead. He scored quite a few similar goals before.

It's preseason of course, but the goalie is the former SKA starter.

Highlights from the game.

Svechkov line sequence starts at 1:01. Breakout pass by Brinkman. Chibrikov flies to the net, Khusnutdinov nearly finishes on the rebound. They did look good.

Michkov's crossbar on PP is at 1:17. Michkov did look good all game. Made some exceptional passes too.

Love it. You like to see a little nastiness and edge to his game.

This kid is such a beauty, even with his KHL contract he’s an absolute no brainer to take 2nd overall after Bedard.

I really hope we have best-on-best international hockey on a regular basis seeing those two head to head will be so much fun for the next 15+ years.

Glad to see him off to a good start, looking forward to watching him at the WJC.

Well on his way to being arguably one of the best European prospects ever. His style of play translates well to the NHL game as well as I’ve noted in the past watching him. He intuitively attacks the middle of the ice really well and finds those prime scoring areas with ease at every level.

Thanks to the Russian posters keeping us updated on his play over in Russia, he’s a fun player to watch and already a household name in the hockey world. Lots of us are following his play closely.

Is he signed in the KHL beyond when he’ll be drafted?
