Bit of an off-topic but aren't the Flyers supposed to be slightly better this year than the last as opposed to the complete tire fire they are now? Is Torts message getting old and players are tired of busting their asses for another "but at least we were close" finish? Or is it something else?

P.S. What I mean to say is of course Michkov's character issues are ruining his team :sarcasm:

they lost carter hart
they lost sean walker

the 2 most important pieces of their goal suppression last year.

couturier, even with the 5 point game yesterday, is not the same couturier
york just got hurt and will be out 3-4 weeks it seems
ALL of their young forwards, save michkov is playing horrific ( farabee, frost, foerster, tippett)
their goalie starter is playing like an average AHL backup
their goalie backup is playing like a solid ECHL veteran
Zamula, 6th dman who was ok last year has heavily regressed

and finally, there is a strong chance Tortorella's message is just not being listened to anymore.

I'm surprised they have 2 wins.

All in all, this is the best thing that could happen for this franchise.

Yeah they need to lose and draft that legit bonafide #1 center type. Hoping and praying.

Flyers need to pray one of Hagens/Misa/McQueen/ect fall in their lap come the draft. There is a chance they could walk away from this draft loaded up, possibly the best they ever have. See if they move more assets come TDL/Draft to push those chips in.

Is Misa a projected center though in the NHL?

If the Flyers get Hagens, holy moly.
