Was that him who turned a dman inside out on the rush before putting a good shot on net? Couldn't see if it was #24 or 74.

Set up 2 grade A scoring chances in the first 5 minutes or so but Buddish (and the other guy) couldn't finish. I don't know why they use him in the middle on the powerplay formation. Those puck handling skills and playmaking kind of go in waste. That's one change I'd like to see. Been the best forward so far in my opinion.

Careful now. After all we might accidentally 'overhype' this kid!

Seriously though, he set up so many good scoring chances he really deserved that goal. Should have had more points in this game. TPS doesn't look too good, nor was I overly impressed with neither Filppula or Budish, who wouldn't have scored to safe their lifes.

It is maybe easy to overhype top prospects, but in this case I have to say that Kakko has been TPS's best forward in all three home games this season. Should have got many goal assists, but his linemates haven't been that good...

One of the few TPS players today who was constantly dangerous with the puck, and tried to get it infront of the net. Some awesome dekes and passes, shame that other players couldn't bury them. OT goal was beautiful, and pay attention how fast he takes off when he gets the puck. The defender had no chance.

The young dude is truly on fire. 1+1 already in the first two periods. His team TPS leads 2-1 in their away game against Ässät. TPS has now scored 4 goals so far this season, and Kakko has been on points in 3 of them. He is looking really good, and first of all he is also efficient. What a talent!

Really impressive how he fights against grown up men physically. In this goal he just proves his willingness to compete and beat men at 17 year old. He just excels in every area of the game. I said it before i like his skill set more than Laine and Barkov at same age. I still stand behind my words but i won’t say he is/will be better than them because we all know what those guys have done in NHL. Just like his skillset more. This guy looked solid playing center at U20 camp. I hope he continues to grow because he could have really bright future in the NHL.

There's a saying: If youre a cant miss-prospect, you are a cant miss-prospect. Im not even that surprised of his performance. We are looking at lainesque breakthrough season here fellows!

Rookie of the season, WJC, debut in mens national team and eventually World Championships in spring, top2 in the draft.

Please stay healthy Kaapo.

Absolutely, no weaknesses whatsoever, some team is going to be very lucky. I think his game fits the NA rink better. He is magic the near the boards, very shifty+explosive.

Hi skillset is very impressive. He's an all-around player and indeed has no weaknesses. I also would say that he probably doesn't have any single tool at the level of Laine's shot or anything but it's hard to fault him for anything. He also has shown constant improvement.

I also think that Kakko's skillset is going to appeal to oldschool NHL GMs and scouts. Perhaps a superior Mikko Rantanen would be a decent comparable.

My eyes were opened in 2018 U18 WC. From my pov Kakko looked better than year older #3 overall pick. Players who even look that impressive must to be great.

He should appeal to any scout or GM, not just the old school ones. Being able to come off the boards with a puck is very crucial part of the game today.
