Bailey with 31 points in his last 25 games. Kid has picked it up in 2nd half of his 1st pro year.

He's interesting to follow. He was drafted with a lot of raw ability and he works his ass off. Im surprised he's been producing as a pro already honestly.

It's somewhat surprising he hasn't been recalled by the Sabres to reward his strong play. Especially after already having had a taste of the NHL

well Amerks were in theory still chasing the playoffs until just about now. i'm sure they'll call him up for the last 2 or 3 games.

Good to see. He's always had a good skill set and great size but needed to improve consistency, add strength and round out his game a bit. Thought he'd have a bit of a slower transition to the AHL level since it took him a bit of time to get his game going consistently and producing consistently well at the OHL level.

The local broadcast mentioned him as a likely reward recall so it seems probable he'll get another shot for a few games. Great to see him figure it out as early as he has. Loved that he took the recall, played well and then went back to the AHL to put in even more work. He didn't sulk, he just got to work.

I always liked Bailey as a prospect. Posted about him quite a bit his draft year. Good to read he is doing well. To me he was always a raw player with great upside. Maybe all it required was time for him. Still remember him in the prospects game, was one of the better looking players in that game from what I recalled.

Thought he and Baptiste would have similar first years in the AHL. Baptiste has struggled with injuries but it hasn't even been close. Bailey is putting up similar numbers to some really good prospects.

Who is he putting up similar numbers to? Just looking for some comparables.

Mantha is another. Bailey didn't have the fastest start and his pace over the last 30 or so games is impressive.

Milano, Kempe, Kapanen... all first year guys with various solid draft and prospect pedigrees who he is out-pacing due to this white-hot streak he's on.

For anyone interested, he got called up for tonight's game to fill in for an injured Fasching. Excited to see what he can do. He looked impressive in preseason.

Big night for Justin, scored his 1st NHL goal and it was a nice one, against Lundqvist at MSG - rang another off the goal post.

He's been my favorite Sabres prospect along with McCabe since their draft days. Now I'm waiting on Borgen, Pu and Fitzgerald.

He really likes powering forward, then using that quick stop/fake to throw the defender off. I always wondered why players don't do that sort of thing more... it works really well in the NHL video games.
