Just 2 quick things to say about Justin, first is that this was his rookie year and he looked amazing with the limited ice time he got. Kitchener was very top heavy on offense all year so he did not get the ice he deserved. Also his defensive zone coverage is very underrated, the kid has so much heart and drive that any team drafting him even in the second round will be getting an amazing player.

Wouldn't be surprised if Maloney indulges in his fondness for Kitchener Rangers and drafts Bailey in the 2nd. I've seen Bailey go in both the first and last third of the 2nd in various mocks, so I think chances are good he'll be there at 42.

This kids really good.
I don't know if I would say he's really good yet but he's freakishly athletic and has an NHL level shot already. He needs to work on a lot of other areas in his game but he's always been a long term project.

My expectations of him are tempered by the day his NHL shot will meet NHL goal tending.

He has tools, but will need to learn to use them in new ways to succeed at the pro level. He's a great project, and with development at the AHL level next year could progress nicely.

He has upped his game a lot this year. His skating has a new explosiveness that wasn't there last year.

He could always stick-handle in a phone booth and had a quick, heavy shot. But he has learned how to compete more consistently and use his size. He no longer lacks upper body strength and balance.

By that day he will also have NHL caliber centers feeding him the puck so he could be a better pro.

Traded to Sault Ste Marie. This could be pretty good for his development. Any thoughts from Greyhounds/Rangers fans?

Great pick up for Soo. He's a primo power forward. Great speed, shot and puck-handling. Prime goal scorer. Not the best passer and sometimes tries to do too much instead of making the simple play.

But he has been playing for a horrible coach with no system at all. So moving to Soo will really help.

He started off the season on a tear but was slumping going into the WJC selection camps which probably played a big part in not getting an invite. Good to see he's rejuvenated on a better team. I watched a lot of their game Friday and he looked sharp out there.

Been hearing good things about him, seems like he finished strong and is playing well in the playoffs. Can anybody whos seen him provide an update?

I'd say middle six winger. Maybe a very lite version of Kyle Okposo. He inherited his athleticism from his dad(former Bills player) and he seems to show a pretty good work ethic. He's a good depth prospect but I can't imagine he'll spend significant time in the top 6 during the course of his career.

I'd like to see him play with Foligno and be centered by Reinhardt to test Bailey's scoring ability.

What is Bailey's likely potential? Dangerous 2nd line sniper?

I'd say that his upside is a good 2nd liner. We have a few RWers -- Bailey, Baptiste, and Fasching -- who are big and skate well with similar projection as middle six kind of players, so it'll be interesting to see what happens in the long run.

Paxton knows his ****. I feel like his athleticism and release allows a pretty high ceiling. I think those attributes also raise his floor. A big, strong, fast winger that can shoot the puck? He can probably fit into any lineup in a couple years. He possesses things that can't be learned.

Justin Bailey recalled from Rochester.

His first NHL game. A chance to see the kid, most likely on Eichel's wing.

Good luck young man.
