RW Jack Pridham - Kitchener Rangers, OHL. (2024, 92nd, CHI)

Kitchener has one of the top coaches in the CHL with an excellent system (Ahokas is a future NHL coach for sure) and he’s playing with more talented players. Combine that with the fact the OHL is an offense-focused league, it’s not surprising. Obviously a great development move on Pridham’s part by moving.

isn't Bob McKenzie's son the GM?

BCHL has been slightly higher scoring league so far this year but West Kelowna is (by far) the lowest scoring team in the BCHL.

Kitchener is actually only middle of the road in terms of OHL scoring.

As has been said before, as opposed to at every other position, the CHL does not necessarily have a distinct advantage in terms of goaltending over the USHL/BCHL.

What we’re seeing is the result of defected BCHL/USHL players playing with far more talented positional players in the CHL but against similar (or perhaps, in some cases, even a step below) goaltending.

As an aside, I would like the CHL to approve an additional Overage roster slot specifically for goaltenders. I think that would go a long way in terms of better challenging the talent throughout the CHL.

Good for Jack though! He’s been playing great on an exceptionally talented team in Kitchener.
Hopefully Mr. Valentini has been paying attention and makes a triumphant return to Ontario and joins the Rangers in short order.

Pridham is part of a very strong BU recruit class that would be exceptional if Cam Robinson is proven right about Michael Misa. Pridham is one of the few right-shot forwards in the class. With expected losses from graduations and pro signings, he has the opportunity to get top six minutes early on.

Averaging more than 2 points a game since joining Kitchener.

Has more points there then he averaged in the BCHL/ oh yea that’s because he’s with better players lol- statiscally impossible .. Obviously it helps but just proves OHL is a high scoring league and spread between OHL and ushl and even bchl is not as big as people think . Good for him ! Hughes from Bchl is doing good but not at same pace as him . Top 2 guys I think left the Bchl for the Ohl.

After last night he's averaging 1.07 points per game with Kitchener on the strength of 15 goals and 14 assists for 29 points in 27 games.
Really good wheels to go along with terrific hands. Good size too. He'll be one of the top scorers on the Boston University squad next year. I think he turns out better than Ryan Greene, another Blackhawk draftee, who is currently with Boston University.

No, he isn't. He has 29 points in 27 games.

Good size, good skater, decent hands. There's definitely a nice toolset to work with if a bit raw.

That definition can be applied to 5 Hawks picks from the 2024 draft. After taking d-man Levshunov at #2, they selected 5 straight forwards from the 1st (2) and 3rd (3) rounds that match that description - Sacha Boisvert, Marek Vanaker, John Mustard, AJ Spellacy and Jack Pridham - all have size, can skate, and can score. If only 1 or 2 of those 5 make it to the NHL it will have been a pretty good draft.

There is nothing special with like 75 % of the OHL. There is a reason that overage kids leading their teams in points are accepting offers to like Bowling Green and other lowly and middling NCAA teams rather than debating between a multitude of NHL ELC offers.
