I don't see many folks on here saying the BCHL "sucks". There are a lot of CHL/USHL caliber players in the league. Pridham is a 19-year old 3rd round NHL draft pick and a commitment to a major NCAA program, he should be performing well in the OHL.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he trys to make AHL next year and if Chicago thinks the best thing for him is to return to Kitchener for an OA year he does that. With this new rule he has lots of options between AHL, OHL or NCAA.

I bet he goes to college as he wouldn't have gone to the OHL right after the agreement allowing him to play in college went through. Regarding the AHL vs. college, what's the rule on CHL players being eligible for the AHL? Don't they have to be at least 20 at the start of the season to play in the AHL if they played in the CHL? Don't know the exact rule.

But here's the other thing. If your choice is between living in Rockford and riding buses between crappy cities in the midwest or living in Boston, being a bigshot on campus for a year, and getting a chance to get somewhat of an education, what would you pick?

plus i think BCHL lot stronger this year - was building momentum on catching the USHL - this rule blew them up

my view maybe OHL not that far superior to ushl bchl as lot of kids leaving those league heading to the chl are thriving . kid sawchyn did zero with steel of ushl ripping up whl with the oilers with big game today .
