Not all posters will see your post and quote the questionable post. Isn't that unfair to warn them? :dunno:

I've since deleted the post in question. It should no longer be an issue, but my intention was to cease discussion of the entire post all together and that was my attempt to avoid people quoting my post to "in your face", the poster or posters who were warned. I still stand by that.

Yeah. It was a charge, but that's about it.
I agree, it wasn't boarding, but it was a definite charge. I consider charging to be a bad penalty. It's a way to hurt people.

Great Ruutu, Finland wins an important game with a great effort and great play, and you have to blight it.

Eurosport said Ruutu will most likely be banned from the Tournament.
He deserves it: this is the Olympics and players should be held to the highest standard of play and sportsmanship.

What gets me especially is that the rest of the Finnish team played so well.

Did I mention Colton Orr in any of my posts? :sarcasm:

Who on the Rangers will make sure "Ruutu will get what he deserves" then.

"Ruutu will get what he deserves" in hockey used to mean a fight. Not Brokebank mountain manlove.

Eurospot is a TV station, for clarification.

I hope we will not see a dirty hit on Forsberg to take him out. That would be a shame.

I just seen it. PATHETIC.

All the Clown had to do was go in hard and touch the puck. This Pejorative Slur decides to go in full speed and blindside the guy. What a reject Ruutu is.

Kasparitus? Colton Orr?

Doesn't neccessarily mean a fight, it could be a thundering dirty hit which Darius has been known to do. I hope Ruutu does get whats coming to him.

The good ol Jofa 235 strikes again, not that he definitely would've shaken it off had he been wearing a regular helmet. But Jagr essentially went into the boards helmetless.

Well since I didn't mention the Rangers specifically first off. But if you want to get into things. Ryan Hollweg? Dale Purinton? Darius Kasparitis?

Ruutu was skating away from Jagr because he thought the puck was going out of his zone, it turns out it didn't so he changed direction towards the puck and Jaromir Jagr. He lines up to hit Jagr (who had his head up at the time) and a second before he hits him, Jagr puts his head down. Jagr didn't see Ruutu coming or obviously he would have kept his head up, but the hit wasn't from behind and the only thing you could accuse Ruutu of was charging..

I have just seen the hit again and still maintain it's a clean hit. Like I said before the only probelm with it was it was a bit of a charge but you see that happen a lot in the NHL. It was not an elbow. Ruutu used his shoulder. It wasn't boarding. Jagr wasn't even turned into the boards. However, Jagr was in a vulnerable position. His head was down and Ruutu took advantage of that. If I was Ruutu I would have done the samething.

most posters don't see things that way. If a player on their team is gritty and borderline, he is chippy and fiesty. If he is on another team, he is dirty, and a joke.
