Ruutu's cheapshot on Jagr

I've always hated Ruutu, so it doesn't really change anything for me. Just too bad he got thrown out, I'd like to have seen Kubina or Malik level him.

I hated Ruutu before. this is just another reason.
So much for the Olympic spirit eh?

So what you think about it people?

Everybody hates Ruutu now?

It was a clear intent to injure. Ruutu knew it was boarding, lined up for the charge, and went after Jagr becuse he was in a vulnerable position. One of the most clear attempts to deliberately take out a player since the Bertuzzi hit on Moore.

Is Jagr hurt?

Not that it would matter for the Rangers, since Henrik Lundqvist is god.

I've never seen someone so obsessed (from a negative point of view) as you are about Lundqvist. A lot of people think he is better than Miller, get over it already.

How can a hit be boarding when every part of Jagr's body was against the boards? A clean shoulder-to-shoulder hit. Jagr just put his head down at the last second which Ruutu couldn't do anything about - and because of that he hit his head on the boards and the helmet cut his face. Maybe, naybe, charging - but even that wouldn'tve been called if Jagr hadn't cut himself on his own helmet.

Nothing to defend Ruutu, even though Jagr had his head down, which obviously made the situation look worse. Stupid hit, which hopefully didn't ruin Finland's game.

Where did I mention Miller in this thread??

It sounds like you have the unhealthy obsession...

I'm not sure I would go so far as saying it was an attempt to injure, but it was definitely not a clean hit - charging at the very least.

Also, not to defend Ruutu, but Jagr really should have been wearing a better helmet than the ridiculous old Jofa - there's a reason it's not considered safe.

You brought up Lundqvist in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with him. It's totally obvious why you did. You take a cheap shot at Lundqvist in every thread where it's even remotely possible, and we all know why from reading the main boards.

Its Ruutu we are talking about, he is alway taking runs at and tries to injure players, this is no different.

A joke of a player.

I was actually hoping that the finns would win this game but after that hit... And Thomas Andersson... he sucks in SEL and he sucks here too.

I'm sorry, I thought I knew what I thought, but apparently you know more about me than I do.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I had no other intention. Rangers fans have said that Lundqvist is the team MVP, so it shouldn't matter if they lose Jagr, right?

I didn't see it live, but looked pretty clean on the one replay I saw. Didn't hit him from behind or with an elbow.
