I didnt see it personally.Boldy was living in Russias zone most of the game.Surprised they didnt try to charge him rent
I thought Boldy was good, not great. Maybe 2nd best forward. Caufield was the most dangerous forward by far and York was the best defensemen followed by Faber.

The good news is that Knight, Sanderson, Zegras, Kaliyev have all likely played their worst game of the tournament and will only get better.

I think Russia looked like the better team for longer, but this game really just goes to prove that in this tournament anything can happen. So much of it comes down to goal tending a momentum swings with some reffing on the side.

That’s the beauty of junior hockey, the momentum swings can be immense.

It’s part of what makes this tournament so fun to watch.

Well deserved win Russia. Convincing win. US needs to get Knight's head back on straight and figure some things out with their combos.

Wolf has been rock solid and would be the likely starter for any country but these two. Hard decision for US brass now, go back to Knight who has been shaky or stick with the 19 year old Wolf who has outplayed him in two straight games and has a solid pedigree himself.

Pretty solid game from the Russians. Askarov didn't look comfortable for a lot of it but good battle. Caufield and a couple other American forwards looked pretty good. The American blueline didn't look good at all, and that's usually a strength of theirs.

Give up Christmas with your family, get quarantined FOREVER and get put thru hell, but then they hand you a "customized" wallet from Cloths General Leather Company and it is all worth while...

I bet you 90% of these guys have phone wallets now anyway..

Their D were not very good at playing D. Lots of missed assignments, and getting caught standing and watching. Likely just the rust coming off from not playing much over the last several months. Plus, when your goalie is off it’s hard to play D with any confidence. Guys try too hard, and run around a bit. Could have been a bit off both?

USA team is probably more talented, than Russia's, but the difference is Russian players have matured earlier, because they play mostly pro hockey, unlike Americans.
I think US is just more hyped. I didn't see any superior collection of talent there for US. I did see a lot more creativity and talent on the Russian side through creative plays and some excellent puck handling.

I did not watch the game but it seems Russia once again had to play against the refs too? Russia had 8 penalty minutes while Usa only had two with many Us cheapshots going uncalled. And one Us goal was goalie interference.
