That could have been called off with pre-2010 rules but nowadays they always award these goals.
Refs missed a hand pass on the play though, I think that's what Hudacek was protesting again.

no he was protesting clearly tip by skate...and nobody will tell me these players dont know how to stick their skates in shot to redirect puck like this

He reached for the puck and knocked it down to a teammate, that is still a glove pass

Anybody's game after 2 periods. It is good to see Slovakia competetive and with a winning mindset for every game.
Yeah, it was a legit goal for us. Overall though I don't like our forwards. I'm pretty sure Michkov could've helped this team even at his 16. At least, his shot would have been one of the best on this team.
I have only seen it in one quick replay, but it looked to me like a deflection from a skate with small, but clear kicking motion.

It hit his glove and then the puck was touched by a teammate's stick, that's enough to call a hand pass. Not blaming the refs though, I wasn't sure myself at normal speed.

Skalicky clearly had a good first period. Unfortunately, I can´t say the same about second.

Ovechkin, Kuznetsov and Barbashev should join as well.
Kuznetsov can't play in international tournaments...

Yes, he reached for the puck, but his motion was not pass but a block motion. Watch it on the replay, he doesn't pass but rather block. It gets to Provorov, yes, but that's more of a coincidence, imo.
From the IIHF rule book:
"A skater cannot pass or direct the puck to a teammate with his glove outside the defending zone."
I'm not here to cry about refs, it was in high speed, but it definitely was a hand pass.

My suggestion for further changes to the Slovak lines for upcoming game. Give Slafkovsky a shot on the 2nd line, if he is not impactful, then move him over to third line.

I'm not liking Samonov in goal so far and some of the defensive plays in the D zone are sloppy and risky sometimes for Russia.
How could he direct that at the teammate when he was doing a block? The shot was coming at him at high speed, Shalunov's intention was just to block it. A pass is a deliberate passing motion from Player A to Player B.
