"It's hard to squeeze people (GMs) in this league". Uh Ken, Bowman just squeezed the living shit out of you. This is yet another low point in Oilers history, this guy is clueless. Damn

This is the worst presser I've heard since the famous Lowe meltdown. I've spent too much time on this already today. I'm stepping away for a bit.

Ehh I'm not so sure.

Ken Holland isn't the only gm in the league that covets intangibles and shit like that. A lot of GMs do. If Keith was willing to go anywhere the price would of definitely been higher too.

I think Holland could of definitely negotiated harder for sure but it definitely sounds like Bowman still highly valued Keith and a trade wouldn't of happened.

Which I know for sure is an option and probably would of been the better option. Holland clearly didn't want to have the deal go away...I'm sure Bowman was fine keeping Keith.

Holland is crippling us based on anecdotal evidence.

"Nobody knows, nobody knows" - Holland on Keith's potential performance... oh Gord.

I'm not a fan of the Keith trade, but Keith is an Oiler now and I'll support him fully, save the contempt for the GM. For too long Edmonton hasn't been the greatest spot players to play and we can't let the anger of a poor trade filter back down to the player or even worse their families. The only time I'm comfortable getting on the player is when they are clearly mailing it in from an effort level (e.g. Joffrey Lupul), as long as the player is giving their best (even if that best is underwhelming) should be above being drug through the mud.
