I wonder how many teams will be lining up to give Kane 5M with term?Holland needs to make some moves to show the core he is serious about winning, no question, but if he had a low key deadline with just adding 2-3 supporting pieces I'd be okay with that since depth wins in the playoffs. A big swing would be someone like Sanheim, but with two years of control he probably costs a 1st + 3rd + A prospect along with a salary or two going back to fit him in.
The interesting one will be at wing. There's no way to fit Kane long term at $5 million plus, so if we can make a "hockey trade" involving Barrie for a struggling winger (Schwartz, Hoffman, Silfverberg?) then you get added depth at that position this year plus someone who can jump into the top six next season and hopefully find chemistry with McDrai.
2.5 mill cap hit. How do we get him and get under the capPhilippe Myers on waivers. Get on this Holland. Manson could help him
Nick Paul lol. I hopeUhoh, there goes Holland’s big game acquisition.
I love the idea of grabbing him as a low cost bounce back, especially since he’s signed for another year at $2.8m. If you can convince the Devils to take Smith and run with Blackwood/Skinner next year I’d like the looks of that tandem. Cheap as well in the year the team will be struggling cap wise. What do you guys think of Blackwood?
Yamamoto but not Bison King. But I think Kane will command too much salary.Question
Do you try to keep Kane at the expense of Bison King and Yamamoto
No. Kane has proven time and time again that the potential for lockeroom issues and personal issues is high. I really like how he's fit in here, but at any point he can revert to the player that the sharks willingly terminated.Question

No, you move Kassian before you do that. Yes I realize you’ll need to tie an asset to him to move himQuestion
