What were their respective save percentages the 3 seasons prior? Post those, lmao
I await your reply
They lost by 1 goal to them, a goal late in the 3rd after destroying Minnesota and Vegas and being one of the hottest teams in the league. The overreactions around here are absurd even for HFOil standards.
I don't care what happened 3 years before. Rosters change. I care about what is happening now. Everybody always says goalies are Voodoo right?
I just don't get the defending to no end. He is average. Bogles my mind that people don't want to win a cup. Excuse me, they do, but it has to be with California closets.
Like going into the playoffs with a 200 pound backpack on your back for McDrai
Answer this for me
If Skinner is on this SJ team to start the year, does he have those Blackwood numbers his first 2.5 months? Does Blackwood have better numbers here?
I highly highly doubt it. That's all I look at when I look at goalies who I have watched. Their movements, puck tracking, and athleticism. How many high dangers they face.
I also think about "hey, goalies on crap teams get shelled more, so their save % could be higher from it overall. Maybe on a good shot supression team, it doesn't translate?"
I still think Skinner would absolutely flounder in a situation like SJ if the roles were reversed. He is more of a "let the puck hit him goalie". He makes the odd reactions save, like the nice one on Kucherov. Sometimes a side to side save. He just doesn't make enough of the clutch big saves.
