And the NHL just let them get out of the Lehner deal Scott-free. This gave them a chance to accrue cap space to go along with Stone's $9.5M LTIR vacation that we all expect. Moreover, the next two years they have a very good cap picture so I expect them to add someone like Sheterkin as well.

They put themselves in a position to do this though. They win early in the season and when it's trade deadline day, they can put stone on LTIR and add players (then they just coast the rest of the way until playoffs).

If vegas is 1st in the division by deadline day, we are screwed. They will have 5 million in acured space and 9.5 in stone LTIR.

Probably cost an absolute ton. He's probably the best combination of shooting/goalscoring/toughness/size in the league right now, and he's just entering his prime

Doubt he would ever waive for the Oilers though.
