It would have been better if next year's number was $97, but otherwise this is pretty much what I expected.

It is also why I would talk to Bouchard about a shorter term deal. 2 years at $8M would be helpful. He could then be in a position for a very big deal in 27-28 when the Oilers would have a lot of cap space.

Funny enough, Draisaitl's deals so far in his entire career have been bargains LOL. I think out of all the teams, Edmonton has been the most fortunate to not have to worry about being so cap-strapped that they had to walk away from a core player.
