Rumor: Rumors & Proposals Thread | With Klingberg in the Mix Who Are Our 7D After the Deadline?

Let's get some actual finishers into the top 6, shall we?

Henrique - McDavid - Hyman
Saad - Draisaitl - Kane
Podkolzin - RNH - Arvidsson
Janmark/Skinner - Philp - Perry/Brown
Im done with Podz in the top 6.

That 2nd line hasn't been good for the Oilers. Podkolzin is -7 in his last 7 games. I didn't even realize that
And he generates nothing.

Fun fact Henrique McDavid Hyman was our top line going into the playoffs last year. Only broke up because Henrique got hurt in the LA series.

My prediction on the Saad situation (echoing what hated Oilersnation media guy Yaremchuk said): Saad gets sold on the injuries plaguing the Golden Showers depth and he signs with them. If Saad struggles out of the gate with the Oilers, they have options to push him to the pressbox, Veg-ass does not, and surely Saad and his agent know it

They'll have to make a trade for more forward depth, IMO.

Klingberg saw an opportunity here to get ice time with a giant hole after Bouchard. It wasn't just play to for a contender

Wtffff? Why the heck would I post something with no substance? What I post is stuff from radio shows.

I’m getting very tired of you calling my profile name out like that.
You mean like when you posted that there was a supposed rift between saad and the blues when a reporter said the exact opposite?

Maybe if you didn’t continually misquote things people wouldn’t give you shit about it.

Lmao Holy crap buddy that’s what was said on the radio show! That’s why I said that. Seriously I’m getting sick and tired of your pretentious bullshit.

I get a few things incorrect from a damn radio show and there are pretentious people like you who get enjoyment out of them. I’m going to do my best to ignore your posts lol

Why would Philly make that trade, who were they targeting? Kuzmenko is a total bust destined for the KHL and Pelletier is a tweener who cleared waivers a few months ago.

Oh well, I'm enjoying how Conroy is managing the flames. They will probably make the playoffs this year and get dusted in the 1st round, or finish 9th, and convince themselves they're done rebuilding and ready to compete. Their leading scorer is 89th in league scoring, they will never be a real threat without getting a couple top-5 picks and drafting some elite talent.

Honestly wouldn't shock me if he didn't end up here. I think some have assumed it's automatic with the Bowman connection, but he may feel he has a better chance to make more coin next year with a spot on a weaker team like one of those

Again, he already has two Cup rings, so doesn't need to go to a contender
All players want to win the cup, regardless if they've won it already.

Multiple teams interested in Saad likely means he’s getting more than 1M.
Yep, it'll probably be similar to Klingberg who had multiple suitors as well. Don't think the Oilers should go above 1m for a luxury if it's going to compromise their ability to accrue even though I'd like to see Saad land here.

Oilers won't be accruing cap space. Kane most likely sitting in LTIR the entire season and the Oilers will have 5.125M to work with.

Friedman on his 32 thoughts podcast said some teams may go longer than one year. Uh oh
Not to worried about that. He will get another contract this offseason for sure. How much that could be would be dependant on the team he lands on now. If someone is willing to offer 3 years- we’ll good on you, Brendan- but it won’t be Edmonton
