I would of loved the idea of Evans before the season started, but he's having too good of a season and shooting miles above his career norm shooting percentage at 21.6%, very likely it will take an overpay to land him.

Its kind of bizarre that MacKinnon says this when the rhetoric is that Colorado doesn’t want to pay him 14m when MacKinnon makes 12.6. You would think that if he wanted him on the team he would just tell management to get it done. I mean this is the guy who took 0.1m more than McDavid because why other than ego?

I never heard McDavid camp or Oilers ever mention about hurting his feelings that Draisaitl will be paid more than McDavid next year.

A lot of the points make sense. I would like to see a top 6 winger.

I really hope management is looking at goaltenders too even if they aren’t mentioning it.

I’ve liked Jake Evans for a bit now. But this is one of those moves that should of been done before. He’s having a great year. He will be more expensive than he should be.

I agree with this. Not that I think Bjugstad would not put in an effort but I'd rather look at guys who badly want to win and would be thrilled to do it in Edmonton.

For years players did not want to be traded to the Oilers. Now that has changed. Take advantage of that while you can.
