Holloway using his feet. Quatorze!
You know Conor has 15 and Hyman has 13. Lol.

Never been a Bruberry fan. Wanted to trade him two years ago for Kovacevic but always been waiting for Dylan to blossom - knew it would take time.
I wanted to match on him so bad.
Curse you to the dark side of the moon Stan Bowman.

Darryl Katz bought the team in the summer of 2007. A year removed from Edmonton's berth in the Cup Final.

There was a brief period where the remnants of that team and young talents like Sam Gagner, Andrew Cogliano and Rowbear Nilsson were going to bring them back into the playoff picture. But it was a short-lived period that also consisted of the Sheldon Souray debacle. Our management stunk.

Neither one of those guys deserves to be in a management role again.
It could have been so much worse. Did you want Jay feaster as GM instead?

I'm sorry there just isn't any logic to what you're saying. These aren't the same situations.

Ha. No kidfing, it's worse.

A Finnish GM decided to pass on the big Fin. That was even a bigger red flag than Wright.
I can guarantee if Chia hadn't split his pants running to the podium and stuck with his original plan, JP might have dropped a few more like Wright did

So Montreal's record has been around 6-1-0 ever since they acquired Alexandre Carrier... an ACTUAL top 4 defender.

I don't think Oilers management understand this concept.

Fitting a Top 4 defender into a top 4 position instead of garbage like Stecher and Dermott will make the team better... Do JJ and Bowman know this?
Seems so easy for teams to aquire them. I don't think our scouts can even choose a good target either

That’s exactly what you did. Sorry you don’t understand. Can’t help you.
Nah. I made a separate post and it combined it with my response to you about the other thread.

My observation was separate. Don’t need you to explain my intentions since I know exactly what they were.

I don’t read intentions, I read words. Glad you don’t intend to tell people how to fan but that is exactly the way that comes across.

It was that bad. An embodiment of the stink that enveloped that room during that pperiod. Sheldon Souray wasn't lying about them.
So many utterly embarrassing press conferences from management. Six rings, tier two fans, can’t squeeze GMs… just to name a few.

Oh yeah, that goon Nicholson blaming Reider for the playoff miss.

MacT was a bright light in the DoD. And as much as it pains this resident KLowe hater, he too wasn’t the biggest problem.

The real issue is that the cost of operating in that era of the NHL and the shallow pockets of the EIG (bless their hearts though). In hindsight it could have been so much worse without EIG, Lowe, and Craig .

I mean replace Lowe with Tambo, Craig with Chiarelli , during that period, and the team would still be searching for legitimacy.

Truly a dark period of Oilers hockey.
Lowe had hits and misses, leader of the OBC though and pissed off fans. He screwed up with Comrie and didn't shop Pronger properly.

MacT was worse, he brought in Eakins. He also brought in McCellan but had to mentor him to pad his own stats. Players didn't want to play for them and good execs didn't want to work for them as they held unto too many strings.

There is only one reason this team has legitimacy and it was winning the lottery.

MacT drafted Drai and Nurse. Traded for Perron and yes should have chosen Todd N over Eakins. He wasn’t great but he was ok and definitely outshines Tambellini and Chiarelli, flat out.
