Not sure if its relevant or not but among the management and scouts on CBJs 12 or 13 guys only one has real Western affiliation. So most of these guys would have significant contacts out east. So if they are talking to people they know real well its likely the guys from eastern teams. ???
Of course maybe this has no significance at all.

Interesting game in the A last night between Laval and Bellville.
Joshua Roy making a statement.
Jakub Dobes in goal very steady.

On Bellville's side a guy named Xavier finally in a very strong game for him.

We have to give up young players to win now… is Bowman a bigger idiot than I thought?

This team doesn’t really have a ton of assets. Whatever trade they make, they better make the right one.

Someone like Jirichek is pretty risky. They will want a lot because of his draft status and hes a RD. But a lot of prospects don’t turn out. Anyone trust our scouts? Lol

I really like Jiricek, he’s got a great set of tools but at the moment his skating is really keeping him from establishing himself at the NHL level. I think he’ll get there at some point in the not so distant future but it’s a big gamble paying a big price for the kid and expecting him to step in this year.

It would be a total Oilers move to grab the kid who was pushed off a worse NHL roster by the guy the Oilers should of targeted who was a waiver claim and is now killing it playing 20+ a night on Jackets top pair. Maybe Lumbus will flip Fabbro at the deadline but the way he’s playing I could see them extending him.

I don't know Jiricek very well, but the Oilers can't Reinhart this one given the teams situation.

Let another team roll the dice on him. Oilers need to find an established D-man.

C-Bus bought flexibility with the Fabbro waiver claim.

Only way I might see the Oil being in on Jiricek is in a two fer deal with Provorov. Pay the price to secure their D upgrade with a veteran expiring deal along with a pedigree quality future player. Flip the 1st round C-Bus is reported looking for Provorov and package Akey and second round pick(s) for a closer to NHL ready Jiricek.

Though I think C-Bus will get better offers for Jiricek if they decide to move off him. They likely also want NHL ready return vs lottery tickets.

Scouts need to do their homework.

Are Jiricek’s skating problems more like Reinhart where he can’t skate at all or more like Bouchard where he still has functional speed?

Kane won't be back till the playoffs Imo
You said “healthy roster”.

That said, what makes you think he will be out that late? I believe he will be back in late Jan, early Feb. I don’t think he has the patience to sit on the sidelines any longer than necessary.
