Imagine him saying yes before he has a deal down. What does that do to Stu and Piks are shaken confidence? Especially if the deal falls through.

Someone mentioned Sorokin. No way the Isles trade him, BUT, if they would, hands down, thats the kind of deal I pay an insane amount for, and would be willing to include Savoie if needed.

That's the kind of deal where if we made it, I'd be fine if the only other things we did were a 4C and depth defender.

Let me get this straight the oilers need to pay a first plus akey to get rid of a goalie with 1 year left on his contract just so they can pick up a worse goalie with worse numbers this year with almost a 2 million higher cap hit signed for 3 more years after this season. Why not just offer a first plus akey to buffalo for futures if we're just going to flush those assets down the drain anyway.

I think it's almost certain they won't trade for a goalie. But they better have a correspondingly significant move on D to balance their failure to do anything in net. Rodrigue has been shit lately. Barely over 0.900sv% in the AHL.

But can he play better then the .750ish that Skinner and Pickard have been putting up lately? You give him a game just to send the message to the goalies to start stepping up.

From what I was told this afternoon I can confirm that Kane will be out until the playoffs. This did come from a trusted source.

Now where I am confused is with the cap. I had one person tell me we have about 3.1 million and someone else say 3.9. (with Kane out) Now does this change if Say Savoie and someone else go down?

Can we get a real breakdown of our cap situation?? The possibilities and everything?

I would like to think Bowman isn't going to let the other GMs, and the hockey world know, that they are looking for a goalie. Let's see what happens between now and the TDL. If he doesn't get a goalie, then he can be ripped.

Obviously your post is a bit hyperbolic, but I actually don't think asking for:

- A 1B goalie
- A #4 RD, and
- A 2nd line winger

Is really that outrageous. We've got assets and(assuming Kane stays on IR) cap space. none of those things are especially rare and they don't all need to be game changers on their own.

If Kane is out until the playoffs, we basically have his full cap hit available at the deadline.

They could run a 21 man roster instead and then have some extra money depending on who you send down.
