I would give up alot for Sorokin, he would make the Oilers a Cup favourite even with the high cap hit. There's just no chance the Isles move him.
He’s a pretty good goalie and I agree with what you said. Just year 1 of an 8 year extension at $8.2 per year is pretty expensive for a goalie (hypothetically trade wise if it was option)

Binnington besides winning the Cup and Four Nations has another positive on his side. Much like Mike Smith he is kind of a dick out there and wouldn't be afraid to tear a strip off of his teammates if they give a dog shit effort out there. He'll also drag the team into the fight if guys are getting into his crease. Connor got to practice against him first hand and should know if he's an improvement on Stu or not. IMO most goalies are.

Here’s my question, do we think the shit goaltending is affecting the way the forwards and d are playing?
100%. I think it deflates the rest of the team to continually have to come back from 3 goals every game. Letting a goal in within the first couple shots just deflates this team

So, when we're being realistic, they're dumping a failed goalie & cap dump for a start signed under $5M and a depth forward with size, but I guess you can keep doing whatever you think that is.
Every single trade you propose is an overpay for a middling upgrade if that.

Do people think he’s going to tell everyone his plans? I’m not sure why people still take these interviews seriously.
Exactly.

Imagine him saying yes before he has a deal down. What does that do to Stu and Piks are shaken confidence? Especially if the deal falls through.

Someone mentioned Sorokin. No way the Isles trade him, BUT, if they would, hands down, thats the kind of deal I pay an insane amount for, and would be willing to include Savoie if needed.

That's the kind of deal where if we made it, I'd be fine if the only other things we did were a 4C and depth defender.

Lol how do you convince yourself that trading a first along with akey for a goalie with worse numbers this year is somehow a good move for a team trying to win the cup?

Like I have no idea what they're looking at or what will happen, but they have to be looking at doing something with the goaltending, because they can see the results.

Does that mean they do anything? The f*** if I know, but if they don't know they know the risk they're taking.

Even with dollar in, dollar out we should be able to improve the team.

Kane staying out until the playoffs makes it even easier.

Upgrade the goaltending in the offseason.

MFer you talk about Stuart Skinner like he's the worst goaltender since the league began. You think it won't take a first to get someone else for him? I like that dream.

Let Rodrigue play a game or 2 to send a message to the goalies. It will also help to see if he's capable of being an NHL backup next season.
They don't like doing this I mean if they would have done this from the jump with Skinner they wouldnt have made a moronic decision to sign Campbell and would have extra cap space because of it.
