So apparently our entire organization is a hot mess, and it has trickled down to Bakersfield.

- DR refusing to report to Bako as he doesnt want to go back down
- Dermott being a diva and salty because he's not in the NHL and pissing off management. Apparently others sharing this mentality and contributing to a cancerous locker room down there
- Brown taking an entire month to be with his pregnant wife also has caused ears to perk up but that might just be speculation and we don't know if she was sick

But all reports is that bako is in complete shambles right now

Gazzola on EST on the first two. Third is my interpretation as it kind of sounds like a lot of the guys down there are being difficult.

Interesting. Not sure how much I trust Gazzola, but I suppose he’s been right here or there

If true regarding the first two, DR is gone next season at least, and Dermott should t get a freebie contract with his buddy Knob on a shorter leash

Been rather obvious there's some sort of issue down in Bakersfield ever since DR talked about it here. If anything, I wouldn't place any sort of blame on DR not wanting to be there if the room is that toxic with certain individuals acting like divas and refusing to listen to guys like DR.

Can’t blame them after being in the NHL previously. Who wants to downgrade after living the NHL lifestyle.

Yeah, I don't really blame DR. He's about to retire; he shouldn't have to put up with that shit to end his career. Lots of smoke, though, around a contingent of other bako guys have become locker room cancer, though.

At the end of the day, he's contractually obligated. If he doesn't want to "put up with" earning an NHL salary and playing in the AHL, he's within his rights to terminate his contract.

My place of employment has recently announced that we're introducing a rotating night shift that we're all required to follow. We aren't allowed to just not come in because we don't want to.

Can we punt Dermott to the ECHL if he clears waivers?

There are only a couple Bako guys who have realistic shots of playing in the NHL. I think we all know who the 2-3 guys are.

Seems like they really miss Brad Malone leadership as the vet who was happy to be the big fish in a little pond and went out of his way to get the team on the same page.

I suspect we'll see Bakersfield coaching staff and vet leadership nuked from orbit this offseason.

Sounds like some guys are sour that they are down there. Who in reality could justifiably have that mindset? Caggiula, Hamblin, Savoie and Philp are about the only guys that are even borderline NHLers.

I wonder if its Dermott. Claimed off waivers a month ago from Minnesota but still hasn't suited up for even one game is rather odd to say the least.

Could be. If he's being a prick then he should have his contract terminated. I supposed Josh Brown would be another possibility. I doubt that he expected to be in Bako the whole time when he signed his contract.

Could be any and all. No reason to believe it's him as he's been nothing but a consummate professional. But Caggiula has had a particularly solid year thus far and he looked fine in his short stint. I could see him being let down that the organization went out and grabbed Frederic.

Easy answer is on Dermott and Brown though.

I never liked Josh Brown to begin with. Giving him a 3 yr deal just made no sense even though its easily buriable. If anything, I wouldn't batter an eyelash if his contract was a mutual termination. Same could be said for Dermott.

Also they can turf Colin Chaulk after this season as well.

Dont forget Keith Gretzky, the Bako GM. He needed to be let go from this organization 5 years ago along with Chiarelli.

Maybe he should be a better hockey player if he doesnt want to be in the AHL at this point.

It seems kind of odd.

The main vets on the team(Caggiula, Griffith, Hamblin, Dineen, Carrick) are heart and soul guys carrying the team. By all reports the guys love Josh Brown too. He's been kicking the shit out of guys who cross the line down there. Attard is a vet, but he's been doing the same. It would be kind of weird for him to be sour and not want to be there, but also stepping up and fighting for his teammates.

Dermott fits, but I don't know if he's even been with the team really.
