I wish this were true, but the weather, atmosphere, facilities, no state tax will still attract many players.

Even if you run the risk of being traded to Columbus or somewhere 5 minutes later.

Yeah, it was more wishful thinking. It seems like every year there's some other player that gets screwed over in Vegas, or leaves unhappy like Marchessault, so dare to dream...

I think it’s possible, but will have to wait until they bottom out in the standings. Even then, the above mentioned “advantages” will still attract good players, but it might not be enough if the team sucks otherwise

Well they are still a good team. If that changes they might well be like San Jose or Anaheim before long.

Don't forget the non-stop access to hookers, strippers, and drugs, lol.

Erik Ekenz is video and analytics. When I see analytics alone I get annoyed. Video before means he has some idea that with analytics you need to back it up with video evendence.

Dominik Zrim co-founded Capfriendly. He has worked for the Hawks and Sharks after founding capfriendly. before hockey he worked for Bell Canada for 14 years

No idea about David Avenochko

It's only a matter of time before someone from that organization finds themselves compromised. And those players and staff better keep close tabs on their families. It's sleazy but a constant reality.

I mean lets be honest, a lot of these guys have women on the side and even women in different cities, I knew a girl who was a "Instagram/fitness model" who would hook up with a really high profile NHL player from a different team (not the Oilers) every time his team came into Calgary, he would give her a heads up he was coming.

It's just much easier to do that in Vegas, you can just go to any top club and get introduced to some "working professionals".

He 1000% got handed a dufflebag full of money by the Oilers

Canada Day Jackson goes and loads up his position

Canada Day afternoon-"Kane will be on long term LTIR"-media

"I had no idea I was gonna do surgery"- It took me the whole summer to decide" - Kane

It's so obvious

Yeah I guess either that or not wanting Draisaitl to have another season with bottom-6 wingers like McLeod and Foegele

As soon as they stop winning I think you will see top players baulking at going there. They were handed a great hand to play off of the expansion draft. But their time seems to be nearing an end to me. Their core is aging and they have started to really build a reputation for dealing with players the wrong way. The way they handled Marchessault was another red flag. A key will be what they do with Theodore who has been their best defenseman for several years on a great team friendly contract. Do they reward him for his play or toss him aside for the next shiny toy. My guess is the latter and that will be one more step in their demise.

Because of the things you say I think they will always be able to attract FA's but I am not sure if they will be the top dogs like a prime AP at a discount.
