Holy shit, what a rollercoaster of a day. Holland needs to upgrade on Ceci. I don't care about Buchnevich, our forwards can hang with anyone just on the backs of our big 4. Nurse has shown his brain turns off in high pressure games, and Ceci is just not good enough to cover. Desharnais will get eaten alive in the top 4 in a playoff paced game. And even if both of Vinny and Ceci were good enough to hold their own, GOOD defensive depth is always valuable.

None of Holloway, Broberg or XB are progressing, dump them now to keep up with the arms race and upgrade the roster where EVERYONE is saying you should, you stubborn old man. Give them all up for the next Ekholm for all I care. Find a way to dump Campbell if you need to, but this D will be our downfall if we don't make an improvement, and not just a #7 who may not even play a playoff game.

Which 3 current roster players would you suggest we move to have any cap room to add the players you want? And don't say Connor Brown, Jack Campbell or Sam Gagner.

Well, Buchnevich and especially Zub were entirely unrealistic so no wonder you're disappointed.
I would have liked Buchnevich too but I'm not entirely convinced that he's even on the market.

We definitely do need an upgrade there but what's available and who's willing to trade with us. Obviously not Calgary who are so F dumb to be trading within their own division and conference.

I would have liked a Ceci upgrade too but there is nobody out there who is appreciably better than him. Hell, I wouldn't have minded somebody different like Walker but were you willing to part with a 1st in addition to Ceci to get him? I mean, Holland actually tried to make that trade for Tanev and Calgary didn't want to deal him here. What can you do?

I knew this would happen. People expected the big flashy names and multiple of them and would be upset with anything less but it just wasn't realistic.

I mean if you traded Foegele + Holloway + 1st for Buchnevich/Guentzel at 25% retained I think it fits under the cap.
