That Colorado second pairing of Girard/Walker is going to get absolutely abused come playoff time.

Guys like Hyman, Kane, Foegele, Perry would have an absolute field day obliterating those two on the forecheck and manhandling them in front of the net.

If they can’t get anything else done before the deadline they could run 13F 7D for the rest of the year and probably accrue enough cap space to put half of Browns bonus onto the cap this season only leaving 1.5M for next year.

If they could pull off a Ceci + for Carrier swap they could come close to fitting in the entire Bonus on this years cap.

Girard in particular already has a track record of getting abused in the playoffs. Agree that this will be a problem for them.

I agree (until playoffs). Janmark/Brown/Ryan all play on the PK. Halloway doesn't.

I think we can make a depth move without moving anyone out but if we want a significant add someone has to go.

To be fair, EDM was always going to need to bring in a dman at the deadline, they've been running 6 guys for a while. Doesn't necessarily preclude another move happening. Holloway is an easy way to generate ~900k in cap space and can get games in the AHL before coming up for teh playoffs

Byram to Buffalo is surprising to me. I'd really like to know what they're playing having all of Dahlin, Power, Samuelsson, Johnson and him seemingly locked up for the next three or so years.

That's a lot of fireworks if they think they can add a big time player.

I think they’re looking at how it’s generally easier for a forward to come in and exceed than it is for a dman, so you try and land a big forward in the draft this year while assembling one of the better defenses in the league.
