Byram to Buffalo is surprising to me. I'd really like to know what they're playing having all of Dahlin, Power, Samuelsson, Johnson and him seemingly locked up for the next three or so years.

We’re pretty crowded at fwd now but I’d still like to see Lavoie get a look in the top 6 down the stretch.

He’s done everything the team has asked, he’s playing with a ton of confidence and he’s a huge body who can really shoot the puck. Give the kid a shot in the top 6.

Maybe next year. The rest of the year is building chemistry with new guys and trying to build momentum. Cant see them trying that unless he is injured.

As a Foegele replacement? That would open cap and insert youth into the lineup.

I like the trade. Henrique is a solid 3C. Don't really know much about Carrick, but hoping he can help as a 4C. The 1st round pick being traded doesn't matter to me when that pick won't help this team short term for a cup. Here's still hoping Ken Holland trades for a top 6 scoring winger and/or a 2nd RHD.

Do we have any more wiggle room to pull off another trade? Would be nice to upgrade on defense or top 6 if there is an option. I’m assuming one of Foegele or Ceci would need to be moved to make room

With no real RHD upgrade out there I’d be ok with Provorov, as he’s still miles better than Ceci even on his off-side. Would the Canes give up a 2nd for Foegele as a rental? Or some other Eastern team? Ceci to a team with little RH depth like the Sabres for a 3rd? Then flip those picks plus a few decent Oilers assets for Provorov and Roslovic at 25%.
