He has been most of a nothing player till this point outside of size. Yes he is scoring a ton of goals this year but that really isn't his game. Don't see an NHL player there. Kids already 23

Francis appears to be on the fence about giving the fans a playoffs appearance in Year 2 or accepting the offers he's getting that builds his team slowly along the path he originally envisioned.

Eh. We have moved on from Samorukov and Kesselring and it didn't really matter.
I think people are overhyped on him because of his crazy goal scoring this year but that isn't his game at all and will probably regress next year.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they can send Shore to the minors and add an extra 800K-850K. Maybe move out Yamamoto and add to bring in another top 6 forward? I think Kenny has at least one more move in his bag.

Doubtful. In 5 seasons that show up on hockey db between 3 different leagues before this he has scored 19 goals total before this.
This season is an outlier.

Two thoughts with Kesselring going.

1. As I said, he was likely the cost of a retention

2. If the Oilers get another NHL defenseman, someone is headed down, and it gives Broberg or Desharnais space to play.
