Kind of feel like the organization has never been that high on Kesselring and I am not entirely sure why.

So who do we have left on RD prospects? Kemp and Wanner?? Germanburger hasn't signed yet.

Getting mixed feelings on the Bjugstad trade but we'll see how it shakes out.

Eh. We have moved on from Samorukov and Kesselring and it didn't really matter.
I think people are overhyped on him because of his crazy goal scoring this year but that isn't his game at all and will probably regress next year.

Second in goals and first for shots D among AHL D

6’5 plus skater. Just finding his game at the AHL level and flourishing. He’s not regressing next year. He’s knocking on the door for an NHL job

Someone enlighten me on why we care about Kesselring? Our d seems pretty set for the next while and we still have Neimo down there simmering?

Honest question. Not looking for flames…
Hot scoring streak for a D and is a RHD

This is all correct. I just don't see whose job he takes in the next couple of years.

Agreed that the Ekholm signing makes him more of a distant bell.

Friedman is getting his lunch eaten by Seravalli and the insider from The Athletic with the blue hair (can't remember the name atm)

I think we're done. Seems like that Bjugstad move makes us square to the cap with retention.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but they can send Shore to the minors and add an extra 800K-850K. Maybe move out Yamamoto and add to bring in another top 6 forward? I think Kenny has at least one more move in his bag.

Doubtful. In 5 seasons that show up on hockey db between 3 different leagues before this he has scored 19 goals total before this.
This season is an outlier.

Two thoughts with Kesselring going.

1. As I said, he was likely the cost of a retention

2. If the Oilers get another NHL defenseman, someone is headed down, and it gives Broberg or Desharnais space to play.

Not sure what it means, but seems sensible imo
