Not being able to play in the U.S. when 2/3 of the league is there, is not a random reason. It's a big deal.

Random in terms of Reasons the Oilers lose roster players. Pandemic is serious stuff, but Pandemic is a once in a lifetime thing, therefore pretty random reason to lose a player.

I've often been curious for someone to take a random organization and compare the last decade or so worth of picks to the draft rankings put out by the main services.

For instance,

If Boston let go of their entire amateur scouting department before that draft and simply went off CSS, their back to back to back picks would have been Barzal, Zboril and Connor.

This was done once for Vancouver. It's a great read.

Thanks for the clarification. That certainly decreases the likelihood of acquiring him as Sabres are rebuilding and more likely to hold onto their prospects.

Domi would be HUGE for a playoff run. Prefer him over Hagel. Doesn't have the contract so should be significantly cheaper.
