I'm not sure one late SCF appearance is that grandiose of a feat when you have 2 of the 3 best players in the league on your team.

Yeah, he made some good moves too. The Ekholm deal made us a legitimate contender. It's really just the Nurse and Campbell contracts that are the big hold up. And the bonuses on the Brown/Perry deals could be problematic.

His contract is up. The Oilers apparently offered him a different role in the organization, but he didn't want whatever they had come up with - probably a "see we didn't fire him" type position.
