GDT: ruining

I’ve been most impressed with Robinson and Walker/Gostisbehere so far, out of all the new adds.

Robinson seems over slotted right now with Kotkaniemi and Necas, but for whatever reason, that line just seems to work. As long as Necas continues as he has been, I see no need to address that until the deadline. However, come deadline, i think a big bodied LW who can score should he the prime target. Robininson’s speed is a great asset.

I can’t really recall any glaring “oopses” yet from Gostisbehere/Walker. And have noticed Walker quietly fit in excellently defensively. I had my doubts about that pairing this summer, but they’ve been real good so far.

And Roslovic with 0 assists so far? Learn to pass the puck you a-hole…

It was pretty sweet how we clowned the Bruins. I will for sure revel in this. We look like a wagon right now. This looks like a fully realized Brind'Amour team.

That being said, we will have our cold spots. Roslovic's lasers will start firing off net, Chat and Orlov will have their defensive oopses, Kochetkov will overplay the puck, Blake may hit the rookie wall. I don't want to prematurely say that we're a contender yet after 9 games. I do think we might be, and certainly historically we have been the past few years. I'm cautiously optimistic and I want to see how they do when they get into a funk.

The best thing though is even though we're firing on all cylinders right now, we still look to be very good in all facets of the game. The most important thing is we appear to be frustrating teams defensively. Go look in an opposing team's GDT and they universally lament how their team has no space and their offensive weapons don't look the same against us. But even aside from that, we look to have really good special teams at the moment, and a better transition game than usual due to the increased team speed.

The play Martinook made on Roslovic's 2nd goal was absolutely f***ing amazing. Great forecheck with a heavy hit, incredible takeaway with the stick then found the open guy in front of the net. Marty has really been amazing since getting waived after he had a couple of rough years. Now we need Staal to wake up

That whole sequence leading to goal was amazing. Beyond Martinook, the entire line chipped to hammer the B's in their own end.
