Chartier-Merkley-GoulbourneWisdom is fine where he went. It's just the trade up and adding a similar type player to what the system already has a bunch of that makes this an uninspiring pick.
That has been the theme of this Flyers draft. "It's not a bad pick. It's not who I would have taken, but ..." It's so prototypically Fletch.

Anyone comparing Wisdom to Goulbourne should just delete their account now. Goulbourne had less than half the goals and points that Wisdom had in their draft years. Goulbourne's last year in Juniors was less productive than Wisdom's draft year. Just stop.

To be clear, this wasn't meant as a knock on the player himself. Im not nearly knowledgeable enough to speak to most of the players in this round/range. I was speaking more to the "he tries hard, he's the coaches guy" piece, which was the rationale behind the Goulbourne pick.
