Tonight, we see if the boys turned into men.

They just have to out work, out hustle Florida and make the panthers chase them. Not chase them.

They can do this!
Bring it on!

CATS HAVE 9 LIVES!!
TONIGHT IS THIER 10th playoff game!
CATS GOING DOWN!!

Of course Wes is in lol. Gotta have a good penalty kill today.
Come at them hard early like game 2, because we're not going to get late PPs, and we might have a goal called off.
Must win. Crush them.

We'll need to play our best game of the entire season tonight, a complete 60 minute effort, no shifts off. Play like it's game 7 of the final, no room for error.

I agree but the problem I have is that when others are idiots, it's not officiated the same as Bunting. Maroon last series, not Bennett.
I agree with what you're saying, but it's completely off topic now. Neither of the refs involved in the Maroon/Bennett games were McCauley.

There are no excuses this game. No lines of us outplaying them, and bad bounces. This is as must win as it gets, this is a game that can't be decided on dumb luck, or one team capitalizing.

This game needs to be willed to win by the boys, with discipline, hard work, grit and skill on full display tonight.

This is a night where we see our 1st overall draft picks, top 10 picks, and free agency acquisitions become men.

Tonight is the night we see if we have created a team worthy of a championship.

Bleed that blue and white and leave it all on the ice.

The Tavares interview makes me more optimistic (Not that I already wasn't) He talked about getting screens in front of Bob, tips/deflections and crash the net, take away his vision. Been preaching this for a couple of days now, he's playing unreal and stopping almost everything he sees. I like the idea to go back to the strategy we used vs Tampa.

Come out with the pedal down and never let up.

If they can score a bunch on Bob tonight they'll get in his head.

Let's go Leafs.

Wes is not the reason we got physically manhandled and are down 0-2 after two squandered home games.

Letting some plug ref be an excuse to go down 0-3 is pathetic. Man up and put on those big boy pants...it's time to go to work.

I posted this in another thread

Recent cup winners look at their forward core group and then compare their "toughness" compared to the Leafs forward core group in terms of dishing hits/taking hits; taking body to make plays instead of fly-bys, or putting the puck deep not holding onto it for fear of getting hit, etc...

Recent cup winners:
Avs: Mack, Rantanen, Landeskog
Blues: Schenn, Tarasenko, ROR
Bolts: Stamkos, Kucherov, Point, Killorn/Palat
Pens: Crosby, Malkin
Caps: Ovi, Backstrom, Oshie
Hawks: Toews, Kane, Hossa
Kings: Kopitar, Williams, Brown, Carter, Richards

Now compare that to Marner, Nylander. These two individually can be a contributing factor to a team that has toughness throughout but toegther when they form a core and take a bunch of cap space only way to compete in the playoffs is either they exude that "toughness" or you replace them.

I would also add Tavares to that group because he is freakin' slow and takes 11 AAV off the cap and has absolutely sucked ass 5on5.

Only one that has shown any willingness to play physical hockey is Matthews. One mat alone cannot do that. Heck even McDavid and Draisaitl are laying bodies and playing nasty hockey.

As long as opposition continues to play physical/fast hockey marner and nylander fold like cheap tents. play perimeter hockey. Unless they are willing to change how they play (when will they learn this is 7th time in the playoffs now) its going to be a tough going in terms of winning games.

Then you add to that Keefe's galaxy braining and.....

For some strange reason I think the timing of bringing in Wes McCauley for this game might benefit the Leafs. Given the events that have taken place having a jerk ref step in might just be what the doctor ordered.

I still want to see Bennett and Chuky crushed at some point but the W is all that matters right now. GLG get some

Sometimes, I think JT had too much sex life. He is exhausted afterwards on the ice.

Just win the damn game, win the next one, and the one after that, and the one after that.

Stop talking about pressure and moments and just act like the powerhouse everyone wastes so much time talking about and trying to prove online to each other. Make saves, score lots, hit to make a difference and stand up for each other, just like on the playground.
