If Lundqvist had a decent team in front of him, we're here talking about how he stole this game. Instead, since they didn't win the game, this performance will fly under the radar of all the Lundqvist haters and they'll continue to say he's not a big game goalie.

What is a selfish penalty? I've only seen people call penalties selfish when talking about players they hate (Nash and Dorsett are 2 that come to mind). How is it selfish? What is that player gaining from it?

Guys…calm down.

The team is TIRED. You can't make excuses, but its just a reality. Fatigue was definitely a factor tonight.

Be thankful we won Game 1, Pittsburgh played hard tonight. They deserved the win.

Without Henrik, this game is 5-0 at the end of the second.

They will rest well tonight, won't skate tomorrow morning and will be revved up to the fullest to a raucous crowd at MSG tomorrow night.

I'll be fine with this loss if they show up tomorrow and win.

Expected a loss but this was just an embarrassment aside from Lundqvist. Team looks exhausted and now gets to play again in 21 hours. Great scheduling.

And, if we want to have any hope in the next round, we can't let this one go to seven games. Even six might be too much; this team needs a rest.

Yeah, they're the worst team that ever laced up a pair of hockey skates.

Really get tired of this place after a loss.

They really didn't play all that badly. Don't think I've ever seen such bad puck luck for an entire game. Every bounce went to Pittsburgh.

Don't get me started on the linesmen calling icing and offside. I don't think the Rangers can get a proper call when they come into the zone.

GO BACK TO WOOD STICKS!

Pros:

Come back to NY after splitting the first two
Hank has all the confidence in the world after this game
The first 30 were evenly matched, and it was boring to watch

Cons:

Lots of sloppy play and passing in the second half
They're going to be really tired tomorrow, and Pittsburgh will probably pick up their physical play
PP was pathetic

That sucked.

The PP at this point is unacceptable. Someone needs to be ****ing fired

Another game in another series where it's still a close game but one team banks on the PP.

Not only is our PP stinking it up but so is our PK. Who's the new guy in charge? I'd pin him against the wall and threaten him verbally, physically, emotionally, spiritually. No excuse for that **** and what's the point of shelling money on him if this is what we are capable of?

Guys…calm down.

The team is TIRED.

No excuses. I don't give a **** if they are tired. This is the schedule you are dealt. You don't get nights off, you show up. The Pens completely controlled this game. Unacceptable.

The entire team played braindead hockey. Girardi in particular played his worst game since his -5 effort against Boston last year.

If not for the name on the back, I could swear that Nash was a dime a dozen 4th liner.

And Oh my God the offsides. TV bricks all night. So many chances squandered by jumping past the play.

The Penguins didn't win, the Rangers lost. Worst game this team has played since that nightmare December homestand.

Well. 1-1 in the second round against the Pens. That's the silver lining. This play inspires no hope or faith, but the situation is better than you'd expect after watching that. Concerned about their legs for tomorrow after that, but hopefully the garden brings some adrenaline. Hank must be steamed. Not optimistic about this team's fate overall but 1-1 isn't time to panic yet. I will say my concerns about this teams spine and character have carried over since last season, and I think it's games like this where that character shows it's ugly face. I don't see any other playoff team in the second round where only 8 teams remain showing that little pride in any game, and I don't remember it in any season either. This team is prone to that kind of lack of character more than any other that I've watched, and I watch a lot of hockey. To me, that is really disappointing.
