Does anyone think we still have a shot at winning the series? What about tame 6?

Theoretically we're still in it, oddsmakers have Florida at -780 or something to win the series (I thought it's be higher), they also give us about a ~30% chance of winning game 6.

I think they can still win. I'm not overly optimistic, but I won't be surprised to see them come out with a good performance after an absolute no show. TBF, I won't be surprised to see a bed wetters special either.

It's true, anything's possible.

What's interesting is that the highest percentage of votes for this series was Leafs in 7, and by a wide margin at that. So now that it will require 7 games, all of a sudden there is simply no chance? Perception is a funny thing. Would people be as upset if the score last night was 2-1 rather than 6-1? I think after the Leafs win game 6 the mood around here will magically change.

It isn't that they lost, it is how they lost. They were embarrassed out there.

Florida lost 8-0 and 5-1 in games 4 and 6 of the Cup final last year. They were embarrassed. What happened next? Again, there is no "momentum" from one game to the next. I think game 6 will be tight, and quite likely go to overtime.

Sometimes, you're better off coming off of an ass kicking than a game where you gave it your all and fell short. Sometimes.

I believe the bet is that I don't post ever again if the Leafs don't make the Cup final this season. I'm not concerned. I think we are going to see a very interesting game 6 and game 7 in this series.

If you win the bet, what is in it for you?

runman quits posting. But let's be honest, what the people really want to see is me get the boot. I make a good heel.

You guys are both good entertainment for this board. But if you guys feel a "pistol duel at dawn" is the way to settle your differences, then I guess it is what it is. As a Leafs fan though, I sure hope you're right.

Personally, I really like the guy. But he proposed a bet, and I'm generally loathe to turn down a good bet.

The Leafiest outcome is likely to happen

They'll win on Friday, and then find a way to screw things up badly on Sunday in front of a home crowd.

But I do hope they find a way to prove us all wrong somehow.
As I said before the playoff started, they lose Game 7 in double OT while on the PP.

Think about the goal last year in OT to Boston. I mean, some freak bounce and the usual suspects are out he ice not backchecking.

The Leafs may honestly have gone through the worst 10 years stretch of bad luck and unfortunate circumstances coupled with their choke artistry of any NHL team in hisory.

10 Straight playoff seasons and the fans are always brought to the brink of hope.

It's your arrogance.. which is now crossing over to being delusional. So I won't miss your trolling.

We suffered through a regular season of what was mainly awful hockey.. How many nights did we really play well?? 12 of 82?

The promise was we would see the master plan unfold in the playoffs. This team was built different.

The manner in which we lost game 6.. Even the coach was left shocked at how low the best players can go.. and he's watched them play shit hockey 70 of 82 games.

You can see my post history over the years.. It was only last year I had my fill of Marner. Wanted him traded after the Bruins series.

I'm not that bipoIlar... but I've had it now..Had it.. Big changes have to happen now.. 3 coaches, many many different faces but usually the same core. It's time
