Il just say what I said before game #3. With new logo we cannot lose. Allez! Canadiens, Allez!
Yep very worried he says he can play when he’s not 100% and compromises our momentumI'm not playing Monty unless he's 100% which I'd be hard pressed to believe anyhow.
The better choice is to move Matheson, his value is still very good and he can be replaced with Reinbacher. I wouldn't pencil Kapanen into the lineup either, maybe he goes to the AHL for awhile until he adapts to the physical side of the game. Savard is also retiring and like you said Armia is probably gone. Dvorak has been great for a month or so now but I would not say he is definitly getting a new contract at this point, we have players like Beck who is knocking on the door.Instead of writing that, look a little further: roster space
Dach is on injury reserve and Demidov took a spot by joining the team. If we only let Armia go, and sign a 2C, we need to trade at least one roster player. Maybe need to get rid of two if we intend to give a spot to a rookie or an added depth forward from FA. Dach and Laine are our two most injury prone players so I would personally chose them. Remember, this was said in the optic of re-signing Dvo:
CC-Suzuki-Slaf
Newhook-2C-Demidov
Andy-Dvo-Gally
Heine-Evans-Kap
Rookie-Depth
That's 14 forwards.
Sure, if we can't find a 2C, by all means, keep Dach and see if he can find redemption, but otherwise, we'll need to make space.
I don't know, maybe just me, but my heart attack part are the long shots near the blue line that Monty seems to have a hard time tracking. The heart attack part is how aggressive dobes is. I cant remember a goalie for the habs that challenges shooters as aggressively as dobes does. Monty by contrast is more quiet and efficient in the crease.
If the Habs go into next season with Dach as 2C it would be de facto giving up on the season. He's not a centreman, not available, and not consistent. Triple threat.Instead of writing that, look a little further: roster space

Yep don’t like dirty play but when the shoe fits…loved he did thatThe sneaky Demidov trip on Wilson tells me a lot about him. 19 y.o. rookie playing in his 5th NHL game understood the assignment and wasn't scared or intimidated by going after a much more imposing player in Wilson.
I thought it was more a matter of Demidov having figured out how NHL playoff officiating works. The sneaky Demidov trip on Wilson tells me a lot about him. 19 y.o. rookie playing in his 5th NHL game understood the assignment and wasn't scared or intimidated by going after a much more imposing player in Wilson.
It was Sandin's stick that hits him, not Suzuki's - but yeah, when he gets hit by Strome, my first thought was a concussion because he gets git right in the head then Strome slams his head into the ice... but the wobble when he gets us looks like a knee or groin, and it could even be both.I think Thompson was concussed earlier in the game, perhaps when he got clipped by Nick’s stick. His last concussion was from just a puck to the mask. And after the stick last night he couldn’t catch one shot. Seemed to be shaking his head. I’m no concussion expert (where were the spotters?) but that followed by how long he stayed down and how woozy he appeared when he got up (not just being unable to put weight on his leg) after he got massacred by Strome leaves me to believe that there is no way he plays again this year. The leg alone (MCL? ACL?) would likely keep him out. But his head? That could be really troublesome. I hope he makes a complete recovery on both counts.
Laines hand
So if there is one wrestling match on a bench, they get 12 minutes in penalties and fined, but if a team crosschecks guys in the face three times, no fines, suspension or even penalty.
Because he is hurt. If he is still not close to 100% next season then he likely won't ever be.That still doesn't change the fact he can't play on 5v5
So his hand injuries explain his IQ slow movements and lack of giving an extra effort. AlrightBecause he is hurt. If he is still not close to 100% next season then he likely won't ever be.
Laine's a trooper. He's back in the room with the guys seemingly in a good mood, despite being yanked from the lineup. Obviously, his 5 on 5 sucked. He needed to be yanked. That still doesn't change the fact he can't play on 5v5

He’s definetly hurt his knee too. Let him rest till next season and see how he is at 100%That still doesn't change the fact he can't play on 5v5
