I will never be the one arguing AGAINST Quick, truly, but it's not quite fair to compare Roy or most of Brodeur to Quick. The average save percentage is miles higher than it was in 2001 and went down every year back from that to under .900 being average in the 80's. It's like talking Gretzky or even Selanne's early point totals compared to today's top scorers (except reverse), there's just no comparison to be made.

Yeah, I know the save percentages are off due to the years, it was in a sense a different generation entirely. Point is both played well into the dead puck era with rising save percentages and its not like they racked up the save either, yet both were well compensated with cup rings over the years. Regardless of the era, the world's best have a high percentage when it really matters.
