One of the things that has me really believing is our depth. We have good players ready to fill in who will come in hungry if needed.

I'm a little dubious about a couple of lineup decisions. I'm not sure they are the best ones. OTOH, I'm not sure they are not either.

Snerg - Schmidt were one of the best D pairs in the league all season. OTOH, Stan has been good - then there are size considerations. Size should not be overrated but it is probably more significant in the PO. All else being equal, size helps. But is all else equal?

Perfetti worked well with Names. He makes the 4th line much more of a threat to actually score. Its not like he is a defensive liability. OTOH, see remarks about size above. Key question, IMO, is will Gus PK?

I will wait to evaluate these decisions until I can apply 20/20 hindsight.

Why not us? That's the question that's been stuck in my head for the past two weeks, with the guys going on a heater at the right time. There are a lot of stats I could point to that would say, "Hey, this is looking pretty decent for a run."

But at the end of it all, I just keep coming back to the same question: Why not us? Go Jets!

Just have to win the games, one at a time.

All the anticipation and analysis, fear, joy, angst and euphoria before the game mean nothing. That's all regular season stuff. Now it is just win.

Bones is being true to his beliefs for better or worse. We will just have wait and see how it goes.

Play the system - Bones' puck support and back check should wear down Avs pretty quick...

Both coaches like a hard forecheck and D engaged but Colorado is missing the talent/speed for that now

Line 1 - Connor needs to stay focused and back check; Scheif should be engaged with the MacKinnon competition
Line 2 - Ehlers finally has a C with chemistry... get them the 4th line matchup
Line 3 - Lowry should be able to shut down McKinnon - Apples looks like he has his speed back - I expect 1-2 goals from them tonight
Line 4 - Just cycle it deep and repeat

D1 - No worries
D2 - Please don't over-estimate Pionk
D3 - Big test for Stan... this pairing should be a difference maker in terms of size over this series

I actually think big Stan can be affective in this series. It’s playoffs and it’s going to get rough.

As long as he keeps moving his feet. When he stands around watching and reaching he gets in trouble.

As Buff said, “You gotta move!”

How we feeling about the stanimal 👍👎?
Has to be a lot better than last game, which was probably his worst of the season. Since coming back into the lineup he's probably been good about 60% of the games, bad 40%. MacKinnon is going to target his side every chance he gets.

Bad news. Bartlett's fine, Galley sucks.

Why no Perfetti, has he been that bad? I was hoping to see the kid in some playoff action.
Line up does look pretty damn good though, getting excited for this one!
