He’d have to actually obtain the incentives on the ice which he wouldn’t actually collect the money until the end of the season assuming he even reaches those incentives. They’re built in incentives that standard for every player. The Flyers can’t just make up an incentive of their own.

You might be right. Even so, it's still laughable the Rotenberg seems to think Michkov is worthy of NHL minutes but not SKA's minutes.

Year 3 out of 3 year rebuild. Briere playing 4d chess when he tanked for Michkov. Also let's not forget he did best he could with potential 50 goal top line center Cutter Gauthier immediately improving defense, powerplay and getting a young roster player back.

Why do people give DB credit for the Gauthier situation. It was a scenario he created. Whether it be via Jone et al, it still falls on him t grow a set. Also, he got back damaged goods.

I do like zadorov, he's really improved the past 3 years, however 6x6 is an easy no for me, I would have in fact given him 5x5 if we didn't have risto, but that ship has sailed

Unfortunately or fortunately - if he comes now - this changes everything. I want a tear down (TK, Risto, Laughton gone etc etc) - but now I don't know if you want it to be a dumpster fire on arrival.

A week ago I would have traded TK - I genuinely don't know what I'd do now. I don't know what Matvei's expectations are in terms of competing, was he promised a competitive team? Did he see the standings and want to be a part of it? I genuinely don't know.

I have to imagine he instantly makes the PP more dangerous, he'll impact 5v5 scoring, 3v3 gets better (yay!!)

In our division alone...you could make the case that Carolina, Washington, Pittsburgh will take a step back next year. -Probably the Rangers-, and maybe the Isles. I anticipate the Devils come back strong, and you figure Columbus maybe improves.

There's a very real opening to compete all season long for the 3rd spot in the Metro. I think both WC's go to the Atlantic, I bet Buffalo, Ottawa, and Montreal are improved next year, in an already good division.

It's fools good - but if you add Michkov to this roster, remove some deadweight - this teams range is around 83-92 points.

Whoever they take at 12 is so important. They need that to hit.

I feel very similarly. I wanted them to tank while Michkov was away and add the high pick talent so they could be young, but super promising when he got here.

Assuming Michkov is inbound now though might make things different. No clue what adjustments should be made, but blowing it up now seems less appropriate.

Moving up in the draft is a neat idea, not sure it is realistic or worth it to dump the assets needed to move up that high though. Here is a real outside the box idea though :

Trade with STL for Dalibor Dvorsky. Dvorsky isn't as electric with Dangles like Carlsson or Fantilli, which is honestly the main reason he didn't go higher. Still a top tier prospect though epecially if he is combined with Michkov. Dvorsky still has a Star 1st line center ceiling is and I'd say 3rd line center floor. The flyers clearly have a good relationship with the blues Front office given the various trades over the years. I think it possible a deal could happen too.

Some ideas being tossed out like adding a vet russians could also be interesting to explore too. Vladdy Tarasenko should be available. I think the Flyers D core is solid, but I've seen Zadorov's name thrown around and I'm super on board with that.

Then there's the Necas idea which definitely is an upgrade, but assuming Carolina can't keep him the biggest issue is gonna be will the flyers even have the best offer? Other teams saw his playoff performance too and likely think yeah our team could use I guy capable of near point per game production only getting 3rd line and 2nd powerplay unit minutes

I wouldn't be so leery of Michkov playing under Tortorella if the Flyers had strong C depth. Ideally, Michkov could play second-line minutes with Frost, as long as Tortorella doesn't feel the need to alpha male him.
