Speculation: Roster/Trade Discussion Thread: Draft and FA addition

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Berard wanting a change of scenery has nothing to do with entitlement. He’s been given chances, didn’t capitalize and now wants to move on in the hopes of potentially succeeding elsewhere.

He’s sees the writing on the wall. It’s not any different than someone wanting to leave any other job for a new opportunity to be better

The way some of you fetishize the whole “this team is full of crybaby’s” narrative is exhausting

I thought I posed it as a question with my *shrug*

Sorry I pissed in your cheerios this am

Ive got nothing but disdain for Dolan but results are results. He's overseen the transition of the Knicks from universal laughingstock to model franchise.
Model franchise? Again, let’s hold off. Brunson made a 100m decision that led to this. Having his god father as GM is likely the reason this happens.
Dolan sat back and wrote the checks. The thing ranger fans have said “that’s all he really does” for decades, as we watched sather run the ship into the ground, refuel, back up, and run it further into the ground…

Dolan also said he won’t spend to keep the Knicks together just recently. That’s not model franchise. That’s a one off from the spurs choking harder than any finals team ever.

this is how i feel about the berard situation but the team was definitely full of cry babies. not so bad now that trouba and panarin are gone, but we still have piss pants miller and mika (love him but hes a giant cry baby)

The Knicks are winners, players want to be here, they take less to be here. Downplay what they've accomplished all you like but if it was easy anyone could do it.

I’m not downplaying the Knicks performance.
I’m downplaying that Dolan had absolutely anything to do with it.
Very different thing.
Dolan signs the checks for the Knicks.
Dolan signs the checks for the rangers.

Everything else is not Dolan.

Nets fan eh?

he accelerated it all. all of a sudden we went from a team who couldnt stop getting players to try coming here to a team that no one wants to go to. hes completely destroyed the teams reputation. whether its because we suck or because players absolutely hate him, it doesnt matter. facts are facts. at this point im just biding my time waiting for him to f*** up so bad he cant come back from it. i have a very bad feeling about whats to come. he’s a chimp with a machine gun.
Gavrikov came here at a discount. Might regret it now. Not because we suck as a city or because Drury is the GM, but because he probably wants to win, which we ain’t doing soon. Which makes me wonder why he signed here at a discount. Was pretty obvious. Round and round.
Anyway, players would rather come to NYC and lose than most towns and lose. Hahahaha.

he mostly wanted to play with his butt buddy bread and now all of a sudden he wants to go back to LA

Kyrou wouldn't waive his NMC to go to Ottawa: Senators acquire winger William Eklund from the San Jose Sharks

The expectation is that the Senators will also attempt to use the No. 25 selection to acquire another forward. The club had shown interest in Jordan Kyrou of the St. Louis Blues, but he wouldn’t waive his no-move clause to come to Ottawa and landed with the Washington Capitals on Tuesday.

The Citizen has reported that the Senators still have a strong interest in Mason McTavish, a forward with the Anaheim Ducks, who is likely to be moved in the coming days. The Montreal Canadiens have also been in talks with the Ducks about a possible trade for McTavish.

1st and a prospect for McTavish is the price:

We still believe the option of trying to acquire McTavish is on the table because the Senators were seeking forward help before they sent Tkachuk to the Panthers. The club will likely bring back veteran Claude Giroux, but there haven’t been any meaningful talks to get a deal in place.

The Ducks want a first-round pick and a prospect in return for McTavish.

His agent was criminally negligent if he didn’t advise Gav that Pan had a high likelihood of being gone after the season, and CERTAINLY wouldn’t be around for 7 years. Hahahaha.

I haven’t actually seen anything from Gavs camp saying he wants to leave. Until then honestly it’s all just clickbait to me.

McTavish isnt that good. Dont get the talk about him. I feel like I am in the twilight zone when I watch him and people talk about him on here.

The hope with McTavish is he'd be a ROR or Jordan Staal type. I wouldn't mind him depending on cost.... but the plodding player gives me PTSD

I think it's mainly some LA writers putting shit out on twitter but without saying it's actually something they heard just "don't be surprised!" stuff

Rs should sell high on vets
here is a win win, gives SJ immediate inside track on WC champions, gives ny along w/other moves close to full roster reset of quality youth that can be a foundation

step 1
we do that deal w/Pit I mentioned
jtm + Schneider + both NYI + BUF 2026 3rds
for
Horcoff + EKarlsson + return of Rs 2027 2nd

why Pens: Sid, Geno + LeTang are ancient
why Rs: add quality pivot prospect
EK is 1 yr left w/Pit and is thought to wanna go back to SJ after
____________________

step 2
presumes Igor + Fox waive bc they see nearly all vets moved

after getting EKarlsson = sweetener

Igor + Fox + EK
for
SJ 2026 1st = 2OA, FL 2026 1st = 9OA, Avs 2026 2nd
SJ 2027 1st
SJ 2028 1st
and Mukhamadullin

somethin like dat
btw Sharks have insane cap space can take it all
