When the dust settles in 6-8 weeks and Benson and Savoie are back in the WHL and Quinn is back, I would like to see Krebs get an extended look in the middle six with Cozens and Quinn. I still think he can be a playmaker working with at least one, in this case two finishers.
It’s a cautionary tale though. There are only so many prime positions available. I wonder how many productive NHL forwards thrive, in part, because of the confidence they get from being on PP1 and playing a regular shift with other productive offensive players. Many, I’m sure. This is not a shot against Okposo and Girgs; you need such players in your bottom 6 in my view. But expecting a young offensively gifted player to thrive and be productive without the benefit of playing with skilled players is unrealistic.
