Hagelin had 10 goals and 31pts this season and you want him on the 1st line?

Hagelin has produced at a 0.37 pts/gp pace over the past two years in Pittsburgh and he makes $4M per.

I will not be overly excited if the Sabres trade for him except for the fact that he is a UFA after next season.

With Hagelin you get speed and potentially leadership. His one year contract holds the
spot while Oloffson gets his AHL season in. Plus the points will come playing with Jack and Sam.

I won't be shocked if Botterill lands Hagelin since he is a Botts hat trick (Michigan, Penguins, Speed).

Hamilton is a 1993 (young) #1 defenceman. maybe top 10-15 in the NHL at his position. ROR isn't even the best center on the worst hockey team in the NHL.

I figure that CAR is getting the best player in the deal in ROR. Pesce is good, young, and cheap, and could be the RHD who takes the tougher matchups; he's probably the next best player in the deal. Lindholm can play center or wing, is good at the dot, and can be a poor man's ROR - I would still want to pursue a Riley Nash type.

This is the 1st proposal I've seen that didn't make me nauseous, which can only mean one thing; Carolina would never do it.

Opposite situation for me. I could stand to see Risto go, but ROR would be a hard loss for the team (even if few see it that way).

I really think a great top 4 puts you in the playoffs over having a great top 6. Build the defense first. Get Dahlin and....

the worst team in hockey has one of the better top center tandems in hockey, ROR would be arguably the top center on half the teams in the league

he is arguably not the best center on this team regardless of what out of context stats would lie about
