Obviously no deal made yet... but our sources say the one name heavily discussed by #LAKings mgmt in the last 48 hrs is #Sabres Matt Moulson

I know Hoven is well-known in the LA market and is a member of the PHWA, but I'm not sure if he's a trusted source for rumors or not. Something to keep an eye on, I guess

EDIT: They're discussing the same tweet on the Kings' board and no one's completely dismissing it based on who wrote it. Might be legit

I for one would be excited to have Moulson reunited with the team. Plus we have a lot of promising young players that should interest your GM.

I really like Moulson and would not mind him being re signed to be a veteran leader. 5 years 5 million and that puts him 2-3 years of a hopefully being a playoff team transitioning into a contender. That being said, if this is better and we add a nice asset then I would not be opposed. Moulson to the Kings makes a lot of sense.

Nope. Unfortunately.

I'd imagine one of Pearson or Vey would be the centerpiece of a Moulson trade. I really like Vey and think he's the type of center prospect this organization is sorely lacking.

Time to figure out what L.A. prospects TM is connected to.

I'd take Vey and Clifford for Moulson. Don't care about the first.

Depends how firm Murray is, Toffoli played in his back yard so he might be very high on him. I wouldn't think he could get Toffoli but you never know. Fans and GMs perception could be different.

How can you say "nope" to Toffoli but then proceed to say you can get Pearson? I think LA 2014 1st will be on the table before those guys. But then again I am not in their meetings.

When we dealt Regehr to LA it was essentially known for about a week it was going to happen. Lombardi isn't a guy that seems to dick around when it comes to trades. If he and his guys want a player and they're discussing going after them they generally pull the trigger and don't let it linger for months and months.

Well, so do I but LA I would think both are pretty evenly ranked by their organization, with Pearson being a LH shot he kinda fits a huge need for them down the road.

I would be amped if Toffoli was somehow brought back in a deal for Moulson. We need young top 6 prospects/near ready players. We cannot only acquire picks as assets
