Amongst the non-playoff teams, Is it just the NY teams along with Detroit & Vancouver the only teams not to have made a deal? Might be a reason we struggle every year to get into the playoffs, management seems satisfied with our roster

I’m glad we’re not paying stupid prices rn. We’re not anywhere near being legitimate contenders

If anything, I’d be trying to, at bare minimum, trade a guy like Mayfield or Duclair

I don't think CBJ trade Werenski within division. There will be a bidding war if he becomes available. Also, the #14 overall and Duclair doesn't get you Robertson, esepcially a signed one.

He said the 13th and 14th overall (ours and Columbus') and was insinuating whatever else we got in the Barzal trade (maybe one of their 2027 3rds) along with Duclair- which shouldn't be too far off for what Robertson would cost...

Maybe George would have to be included

oh ok, but we aren't getting Werenski and their 1st for Barzal and Pelech. Especially if CBJ is trading in our divsion. There would be 30 other teams biding on him too.

Robertson is in the same position as Dobson. A RFA that can and will steer himself where he wants to go. Dallas will have to do the best they can.

Btw, that’s the Isles and CLB 1st and Duclair for Robertson, essentially the Dobson deal.

I think Robertson is a better player. A forward who scores 45 goals in his prime I think gets a better package than Dobson. Even if you say the Dobson type package is fair.
Duclair does not equal Heineman.

Would he be able to hit 45 goals in our lineup especially without Barzal? I don't think so.

With Ritchie? He nets 35-40+.

He scores gooooooaaaaalsss. Barzal helps no one score goals. Is Horvat a 40g scorer yet with Barzal? Nope. Is anyone even a 30g scorer bc of him? Nope. A 20g guy? Nope. Hmm…

Mctavish going to be a Rag. Makes me sad, liked him since his draft year. Now I must hope for his continued downfall.

Horrible time
When Wang bought the team he infused cash that Milbury never had
Milbury squandered that on a quick fix, the stupid Dipietro draft and subsequent Luongo trade etc
And worst of all?
Milbury and Wang “outsmarting” the league with the Yashin and Dipietro contracts
