Lou was reading up on Garth's history of dumpster diving and was like "hold my beer" 🍻

Word is TDA will be living at the Bellmore LIRR station in a clapped out Chevy Silverado until the season ends.

A perfect test for either the Boychuck or Seidenberg basements . . .

On the face of it, I hate this move. Even setting aside the issues with TDA as a player and person, this is such a disappointing move because it indicates that Lou still thinks this team has a shot. I can only hope that the only impact of this move is that Lou sells TDA to some desperate playoff team at the deadline.

Think about this...

Tony D'Angelo has NHL level skills. The kind of skills that any possible playoff team/Cup contender would like to have, but...

None of them decided to sign him...Except for your GM who by doing so is saying to the fans that he still "believes in this team" as a contender.

It's beyond bad right now.

Apparently he has to clear waivers first. So he might not be an islanders…

Pretty sure it's an unwritten rule amongst GMs that you don't pickup a player it's clear decided to sign with one team. Unless of course you truly DGAF (anyone know what I'm talking about?).

Would actually be funny if someone picked up TDA just to piss Lou off (especially since it's only TDA). In the past no one would've done that to him, but now would be a sign maybe GMs don't care about his intimidation tactics).

Wouldn’t mind the TDA signing if it wasn’t for the fact that this move could very much signal that Lou somehow believes in this team. Worst case scenario is that TDA proves to have not changed at all and you just cut bait. Best case scenario is that he’s somehow cleaned himself up a bit and changed. He has all the talent in the world and is a legitimate higher end offensive defenseman who can be a game changer on the PP, and he’s also just 29. Hopefully he has grown for his sake and ours.

Lou is like Roy McAvoy trying to get over the water hazard on 18 instead of laying up.

Have Tsyplakov in my hockey pool. I realize he is suspended but how has he performed this year and what is the projection/fit for next season?

Thanks

He’s a 40ish point guy, will probably play on the second line when he comes back. Both of his line mates are trade bait though, so 40 point pace is probably best case scenario
