Can’t trust the Isles to stack big win streaks needed to make up the ground. We had one (1) three game win streak and the pods and team were talking about how we’re so back. Instantly lost 2 in a row. It’s time to sell. I’ll root for CBJ for the incredible story to get the 8th spot

I check the out of town scores every morning because I do believe realistically we need to be minimum 3 games out at a set date (I honestly don’t know when that would be, maybe even all the way up to trade deadline day) to get Lou to sell. If we’re 5 points or below out of a spot at deadline day then I would switch to f*** it make the playoffs and see what happens.

This year I don’t think we will make it, too far down against too many other teams all competing for 1 spot

Well you should root for this team to miss the playoffs. Sounds counterintuitive as a fan, but we're going nowhere with Lou as GM and there won't be change if things stay "OK."

Again, getting to the playoffs and "seeing what happens" is not a plan nor sound philosophy if you want to win the Cup. If you look at the teams that have been winning it, they are several levels above in terms of (top end) talent. And again the best way to get that talent is to be picking very high in the draft.

Lol. Nhl released isles top 2 lineups. Wooof. We have sucked way too much. Pelech and Leddy are our best 2 d in the last 25 years….

Ugh...What a joke.

This is exactly what I've been saying about how Lou only knows how to GM one way - With this foot on the pedal at all times. This isn't about Tony D per se, but a metaphor that Lou doesn't know when to admit that you need to go in another direction. Signing TD'A isn't going to move the needle/get this team in the playoffs, but Lou thinks it might. And that's the problem. If anything you don't want TD'A around your locker room.

Any other franchise in our situation you'd know that they will be selling before the deadline, but with Lou we honestly aren't sure if he's selling or still "going for it" - And that's a massive problem.

Malkin needs to step in and put the idea of still competing for a cup with this aging/not talented enough roster out of its misery by firing Lou. It's enough already.
